Idle scratchings

Lifepoems

One man,
one amid many;
unable to discern the difference
between the life of meaning,
and that of fatuity.
How simple it must seem
to those in light;
the inane speculation
unnecessary and unwanted.
So sure of the choices,
so sure of the dreams;
obstinately defending a future
as yet unknown.
Who are the lesser;
those without dreams,
always dreaming;
or those whose dreams offer naught
but shackled hope?
