There's a fireball coming.

Topic: ChristianPoetry

In the heavens above, I could hear some faint drumming,
And as I tuned it in, it was accompanied by some strumming,
Joining the sound was a steady pounding of some feet running,
It seemed to me in the Spirit like there was a Fireball coming.

I then looked in the Spirit and I saw it streak across the sky,
It seemed like a meteorite trail, but I didn't quite know why.
Something in my heart leapt with joy and then I started to cry,
As I began to realise it was from Jesus, my Lord God on high.

This was no earthly fireball, it surely was both a sign and a wonder,
My feet began to dance and I heard the rumbling of a great thunder.
It seemed the Devil had overstepped his mark and made a blunder,
Because in the Fireball was anointing for the Saints to greatly plunder.

For with these signs in the Heavens were released signs in the Earth.
Whereas of His manifest presence and glory there'd been a dearth,
The Song of the Lord was rising and the Saints now had great mirth,
Because miracles in abundance through faith were being given birth.

As the Great Cloud of Witnesses stood and cheered from in heaven,
His last pure Church was being revealed and that without leaven.
Instead of a few Prophets and of the great Apostles, some eleven,
A Prophetic, Apostolic congregation rose when seals were opening, seven.

In these very last days it was revealed, the Acts of Apostles anointing,
All the faithful Saints were rising, as one to move at His appointing.
As the Devil trembled, these Warriors were the demons frightening,
Because boldness and authority in great measure was in them mounting.

Like Peter of old, who saw great healings when his shadow was falling,
The gifts of the Spirit with power came on all those who'd been calling.
As strongholds of witchcraft and wickedness, the Saints were mauling,
The Church was unstoppable and won great victories over demons appalling.

With shouts of triumph through the power of the blood declared always,
They cut a swathe of healing deliverance as He revealed His glorious ways.
The blind could see and the deaf could hear and both could an anthem raise,
As the lame could leap and the lost at last could shout His mighty praise.

So will you now , when you hear the Spirit come near to woo,
Be ready at this time to move with all that He's about to do?
Raising a spotless Bride, a Holy Nation built of Gentile and Jew,
To present to God our Father, a perfected Church, not just a chosen few.

Eric Mckenna
