When from deepest slumber called I wake to find I am not my own,
Yet from which deep recess of my mind, from which ongoing process
Of my body have I been called? My endless search for clarity leads only
To the ultimate awareness of my mortality, ponderings of maybe
An eternal sleep, which godly hand may wake me then?
My picture is framed with those who are close to me in thought and are
Holding hands with Medicine to keep their earthly eyes open and I feel
That my burdens should thus fade into the shadows.
Early hours and my spirit agitates with ties that bind, earthly responsibilities,
Accessibility to me, and my freedom of fleeing from all connections.
Yet in seeking the peace and healing
Satisfaction of rest, even then I am not my own, and again I am denied.
The day was wrong, not because I was ungrateful for it but just for all
That my senses were awakened to and like a thief it stole from me not
Only my day but my night also. Early hours bringing memories of the
Freedom of the journey that has often taken me away from my self and my day
So if neither the day or night belong to me and I am not my own then I am
Destined to seek, to question, to observe, to ponder in words forming
tiny pools of my reflection.

Surreal and deep ponderings of a poetess.
That first stanza especially reached out to me because I felt it was questioning life after death. Not sure I fully understood this but as I read I was drawn in..in to some sort of waking dream state.
Coooool! :)

Hi Anna,
Very, very, profound! And with a touch of
sadness which I trust does not reflect your
existing morale(??)
Written by a hand which is always in perfect
synchronisation with human emotions.
