Rose are red and cliche too,
expensive but cheap.
Violets are prude,
pity to sow and not reap.
Gifts tainted with innuendos,
wrapped up like peacocks.
Cards with glib sayings,
a little carbon copy jewelry box.
A gift from the heart,
is perhaps not a gift at all.
