today begins a new day
life has Rearranged
the one thing I am sure of
is I will never change

I don't do false impressions
for anyone to see
except me for who I am
or simply leave me be

life is to short to try to be
something I am not
it's a full time job just being me
& I give it all I've got

it's a matter of perfection
honor & pride
it's what my life is made of
there is no other side

so no matter what you think I am
or what you think you see
I will walk threw this life
always being me

i love this poem, roy and i hope that you never change who you are...it just wouldnt be you...its what makes you the awesome person you are....kudos well done
