As the Bloom Dies

Contributed by kye on Friday, 8th February 2013 @ 10:12:39 PM in AEST
Topic: NaturePoetry

In the moment of visualization,
The most beautiful of colors enticingly unfold,
And enrapture even the hardest of those tried.

Our minds tell us that we see this wonder,
As we see all things.
Truth be told, we are feeling the freshness,
Of a beginning that slowly tantalizes our soul.

But quickly our attention and fascination,
Follows directions that yield non distinctive weeds,
And sprouts and all manner of things,
And, the delicacy of a miracle seems less so.

As I sit here, in this garden, alas alone,
I gaze at a bloom that I feel must be sleeping,
Latent with dew, darkened in the shadows,
This delicate orchid, lost in the evanescence.

Of a plant that could have been, lovely,
Revered, nurtured and warmed by the human hand,
Now is closed, as closed as words, that we never say,
Disguised before my very eyes,
Was almost a flower, as the Bloom slowly dies…

Oh, so you are still alive! :) Glad to see you back. Coulda said hi! :p *taps finger on folded arms* ^_^

--- Okay, okay, let the commenting commence!

Many visuals in this one. It seems to me there is some hidden meaning I am not quite getting (or am completely)...but I'll bet it's perfect to someone.

I really did love the imagery but like I said, I think I missed the meaning. Maybe it'll click in someday.

Aw shucks, feeling sorta stoopid. Enjoyed nonetheless.
