What do you know about me
You are sure you think you know
You only go by what you see
and what it is I show...
Do you walk into the doors I call home
Can you tell me what are the things I like
Do you know where it is my thoughts roam
Do you know if I sleep in peace at night...
Do you know my worries as a mother
Besides the ones you may face yourself
Your thoughts you can only mutter
Yet you think you know me so well...
My steps I alone have walked them
though true others may have had a similar journey
But a different path I have come from
Where strong is all that was left for me to be...
But strength is an understated characteristic
For its not given its taught by trials
But seriously lets remain realsitc
Strength doesn't come easy it cant be bought in a vial...
Strength comes from broken hearts
Strength comes being let down
Strength comes from falling apart
and then turning it all around ...
The thing about strength is others have it
Those you love and are close to
But their strength we cant have one bit
For we haven't shared in what they been through...
Strength is a journey of your own
Left for you to find and conquer
This journey can leave you fealing so alone
But designed to make you stronger...
When faced with the realties of life
and with the revelation of who people really are
You can find yourself facing many lies
and those who think they can write your memoirs...
So don't pretend to know me or what im about
Don't pretend to have compassion for what I have been through
I will let you know, right now, flat out
That you really don't have a clue!!...
So again I ask What do you know about me
Think before you reply, because you really don't know me at all
The truth doesn't lie in what it is your eyes can see
Because You will never see past my Wall...
