Love lost and regained
Trust destroyed but still hangin' on
Letting go of the past gets easier as you move on
Forgetting becomes natural the farther you run
Moments lost in memories
Memories change the more you reminisce
Handed a pen, handed a life
Given a smile, the idea of happiness can sink in
Waking before the birds welcome the day
Sinking into the air, your breath
The heroes standing guard
And we're just trying to fly
Trying to climb that mountain
Trying to look at the world for what it is
Searching the skies for a definition of who we are
Longing to know a purpose
Walking down a long dock, headed for the sea
Don't stop me
