It strikes me as odd
That people pursue
What we become:
Unhappy, lonely, and desperate.
Because we are unhappy,
We reach out, but there is no one
To bear our sorrows.
And we become lonely, desperate,
And reach out in every which way
(We know how.)
Hundreds of thousands
Of beating, desperate hearts
Splattered across the internet;
I find it strange
To want such a thing.

Tis true many cry yet out yet few are received. There are starving artists with a purpose and others merely in the limelight for capital gain! May we reach out with brotherly love to those suffering physical and emotional damage. Lovely write btw,

Hundreds of thousands
Of beating, desperate hearts
Splattered across the Internet.....
Loved that, gives the piece it's most intensity

I recall reading your poetry in the years that have passed. Your style is moving, singular, quite interesting and intellectual.
You make me think, pause, listen to a word - that I simply can't pass up and, that makes a uniqueness that is refreshing and appealing.
Your words talk to the reader and the reader is drawn into thought and conversation.
