Black Rose 11/1/10

Night has fallen in this the quiet midnight hour, darkness evil touch lurking beyond the shadows, veiled
Lightning crackles through the trees with a fierceness sparking embers whistle smell of wood, pungent

Maiden shrouded from view struggles to regain her footing mud and clay ankle deep impede her walking, journey
Deep in the black thicket only sound heard is that of her frantically beating heart, alone who else is out there?

A black rose lays upon the stump as if given out of love, hate why is it there who might have delivered it to this frightful place, wicked
Gentleman known arrives as neither wind nor rain can stop his search for thy lady with auburn tresses his calling destiny

The witching hour has passed screams of death resound throughout the foggy woods, what entity is coming to forever silence those trapped in its unholy reach?
Dress of white is seen by he before the blackness can intrude upon her with its ghastly intentions, beyond sanity

Together they ride upon steed hearty and full of power, grace feeling the misty rain, coldness stings
Escaping the reaper yet again tonight summons courage not yet known, deaths callous hand will have to wait for tonight we laugh, we live, we love!
