A story I must confess,
about the vulnerable king of chess.
The weak piece is a teenager with a heart,
forced to start life from the start.
The chess king screamed that it’s the best,
his goal to be seen by the rest.
The enemy pieces never cared,
and hate for the king is what they shared.
When things were too confusing,
the lone king saw he was losing,
none of what he said before could slide,
and the king tossed himself on his side.
The poor king gave it all to be everything,
yet his poor hands ended up with nothing.
The hopeful teenager will fight for it all,
but in the end always had to fall.
The king saw so much pain,
No one heard his cries in vain,
He is a teenage thrown into the depths of life,
left without a weapon or knife.
