Mobile Minds
Those early days of Graham Bell,
Progressed to cacophonic hell,
I don’t care you’re running late,
Or your boyfriend had to wait,
What time you crawled out of your bed,
The thoughts you should have left unsaid.
What time you eat, your holiday,
The underwear adorned today.
Your trip abroad, your new suntan,
The doubts about your newfound man.
Four pounds lost, a new job gained,
The major client who complained.
Commission none, the profits slide,
Some restaurant made it in the guide.
A test just passed, a marriage failed.
The latest gadget now unveiled,
Your personal life, once unaware,
Involve me not, no need to share.
The mobile masts imposing stand,
Send conversations over land,
I won’t text now I’ll wait a while,
To see your eyes, your lovely smile.
Returning home my day is through,
To whisper softly……. I love you.
