Do I dare?

Do I dare say it out loud?
Would it make me all the more proud?
Do I dare say it now?
Would I even know how?
Do I dare say that I am gay?
Will it lead my life astray?
Do I dare say that I have a feelings for that guy?
Will he even turn to me just to say hi?
Do I dare to accept that he's straight?
Will I come let that truth in all the more late?
Do I dare let him go?
Will it hurt me ever more so?
Do I dare continue telling myself this lie?
That he will like me back and be attracted to this guy

I love the positive energy of this piece. The honesty and hope, yet a tinge of hesitancy. It takes the reader along on the journey, and the reader is rooting for you. Very nice, human, truth write. Thank you for sharing, P
