My son is an image
of what I once used to be
He brings back memories
of how childhood was for me
Every time I see him
it’s like a mirror image that I see
After a few seconds
I realize he is not me
My childhood left behind
it was so many years ago
I talk with my son
telling him things he wants to know
Many questions he asks
many answers to him I tell
Fond of most childhood memories
and for that bad, I do not dwell
My son is like my angel
always by my side
Having built much trust
my son knows in me he can confide
Not only one son
as for sons, I have two
They both hold my distant memories
and give me hope in all that I do
