I forget what it's like, being temperate.
To see what you see,
and be what you are,
don't think of it often huh?
But I do. everyday it slows me down,
aims at my mind, and lets it go free.
There's smoke signals, so I'm sure it'll come back,
but not for a while, It needs time to itself.
So it can be me without fear, stress, worry, or doubt.
Just let it fly and be with the stars, it'll figure it out,
I promise.
I'm weak and disheartened,
Ill do whatever for that golden gram.
My replete mind needs it.
I feel desperate, but I am.
So I steal and lie until it hurts,
then my tears recite how little I've grown,
and you'll know why I have no faith in my own bones
to help me stand on my own.
But worst of all, I do it again and again,
over and over, time after time, repeatedly.
Could you forgive a contrite sinner like me?
I didn't think so.

Remember that the idea of insanity(which I thought was quoted from benjamin franklin, and my friend thought it wasEinstein, and still I haven't found out which it was...) was quoted as "Doing the same thing over and over again, expecting different results". then again, something's missing here. there's no mention of what the results are expected to be. Hopefully you gain something out of it, so that the tears you shed aren't in vain, but we can't be sure. Even he who sheds the tears can't always be certain if it was worth it.
You'd say you didn't think so, I'd say "Maybe, but forgiveness and trust don't go hand in hand." |
