LEAPING THRU THE FIRE

Contributed by emystar on Wednesday, 23rd January 2013 @ 05:17:33 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

Faith comes by receiving
When nothing else will do.
Oh yeah, doubt tries
to sneak in, too.
Gotta build that stone wall
Stand strong on luv call.

When there's no peace in sight,
Doubt falling all around, stand up,
Let's go leaping thru the fire.
Love will protect our a tire.
We're leaping thru the fire.

Our praise pours out
so many blessings.
Love covers our transgressions,
When Jesus forgave the thief
By his side.
Humbleness in love a bides.

Sing when evil tries to steal
your joy.
He ain't nothing but an evil toy.
Nothing's impossible with (love) God .
When we believe standing
On heaven's sod.

As a new user here and someone who has recently found the way back to God I love this Poem, it is short yet has such a large scoping message in it that all should be able to see, very well done!

emy, This is beautiful and so true. My thoughts about evil are that EGO is largely where it hides. But beyond this dimension we're in, there is definitely only joy. Lovely poem.
Blessings, SF

I haven't seen the movie that inspired this piece, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. I like the message you are conveying here. Whether a person believes in God or not, I do believe it is important to be thankful for what we have. Some days it might feel like a struggle to find something positive, or something to be grateful about. Recognizing those things we sometimes take for granted (another day alive, health, family, roof over your head, etc), is what keeps things in perspective. The negatives always stand out like a sore thumb, but there is always plenty to give thanks for.
