What is losing?
Winning hard!
Not by choosing; off your guard!
Victory is frozen;
But while I lose I'm reaching!
Stretching and regrouping;
Seeking losing's teaching!
Please don't let me win too much
(I know, you think I'm crazy!)
But conquest puts me out of touch;
My spirit gets fat and lazy.
Keep me hungry, quick and lean!
Sharpen all my senses!
Make me walk the in-between;
Shatter my pretenses!
I don't want your loving cup;
Nor the keys to town!
Cause I will always have straight up;
When all you've left is down!

I like the idea of shattering pretenses. Keep it real.
This sort of brought to mind Justin Beiber and his having everything with moving way to fast with too much. No more challenges, except now to stay sober and stay on a good path instead of a road to ruin.
Don't let me have too much because I'd rather stay down here...on earth.
Thankies.

I can/'/t agree more. This was fantastic.
Fat and lazy means you ain/'/t hungry.
After reading this I/'/m looking forward to losing. |
