nobody told her she was on her own way
she was never told she could smile in pictures
she held her breath she stood in the back
she knew to be polite she knew to raise her hand
she grew up and kept bottled up she figured out
she figured it was love she had it in her eyes
she's out the door she's a long way gone
she found just one way she's running away
she's searching the land she's looking all over now
she's on her way home
