My mind is an empty vessel on the sea of despair,
tossed about the rapids that make up my fears and cares.
Fueled by all the uncertainties, that fill our age and day,
both my senses and judgment just seem to wash away.
As the raging tide grows ominously fierce,
the mists of doubt grow harder to pierce.
Darkening my outlook and dimming my sight,
placing myself in a dangerous plight.
How then must I set my course?
Do I adjust the sails or onward do I force?
Should continue drifting aimlessly along this war torn life,
or must it all end with a blood splattered knife?
