All great artists suffered;
Forged their craft with pain;
And the more they suffered;
The better they became!
I have burned the midnight oil
on rhythm, rhyme and such;
Kindly bear in mind though,
I haven't suffered much!

had to go back to your first post to see. I wonder if it's true, or if it's the progeny...
To suffer not, to flower instep instead
somewhere. A degree or expectation
could be reclusive or the opposite, to flower.
This is a nice one!
I'll read more tonight to see if I can get something unique, like a struggle.
Peace! |

I wasn/'/t here then but had to go back to read your first poem. I/'/m glad I did.
When I/'/m happy I/'/m not excited to write. Actually most don/'/t want to read it either. I guess happiness doesn/'/t torture the soul enough to tell the world your plight. January 17, 2013 was a great day!

Maybe you haven/'/t suffered much because poetry come natural for you.
Poetry might be deeper with more emotions when we are in pain or not so happy but I/'/ll take a smile face day over a frown face day. |

It is easier to write after traumatic, tragic, or just
upsetting time. But to be able to write with an
optimistic and cheery disposition shows a truly
talented and well rounded poet. With suffering comes
pieces that are easily relatable but the world
also need those that can cheer up and lift the spirit.
You my friend are one of those people.
