the Apocalypse has been and gone,
but I was busy on the phone
bills and kids and some-such
tell me – did I miss much?
truth be told, my life is small
not grand or magnificent at all;
not like the end of days, where
tectonic plates roll like waves
and the world’s seas all tsunami:
obligations – I must be balmy!
tomorrow’s here –what a shame,
a calculation is to blame:
cataclysms come and go, and
dates get reconfigured, you know
—so don’t discard the rations yet
just hold out for a rogue comet!

LOL I loved this. Hello old friend! I see your sence of poetic humor is still strong. I visited Tulum in 2011 and walked the Mayan ruins learning that the "end of the world" was an invention of our media so they could sell more air time. Big surprise huh? Anyway it's all gonna end for us eventually ...one at a time ;0).
