Lost

Contributed by thistle_and_fern on Saturday, 12th January 2013 @ 12:13:47 AM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

I really don't know just what to do
It all began when I lost you
Im hiding away in my own little space
Because I dont fit into any place.

My life is work and my two little cats
I come home each night to an empty flat
I talk to myself all the time
And tell myself I am doing fine.

But really I'm not I'm all alone
with cat's for company and my mobile phone
That no one rings or texts to me
I wish I could once and for all be free.

Free from the hurt, the guilt and the pain
Sometimes the intensity drives me insane
Surrendering to this is easier to do
than fighting the memories I have of you.

One day who knows but someone may see
Through all of this hurt and anger of me
And love me again like you used to do
I'm not holding my breath because that won't come true.

I'm resigned to the fact that this is my life
alone in this world and it cuts like a knife
The walls of my heart are securely in chains
and the person I was is buried in pain.

That is so sad. :'-( I am so sorry for your loss. The is well written though but it is unfortunate you had to write about something like this. Again, so sorry.

Tim

This has really helped me see into your world. It's a very powerful portrayal of the sorrow that still flows through you.
Friends are always there yet the one person that makes you complete is missing. I hope that person is not far away, because you deserve that which some of us sometimes take for granted.
