Grief
|
You said you treated me good,
And you know what? That is true.
You gave me everything, everything except for you.
Your eyes tell me a story,
Of hate, sorrow and fray.
You always seem to hang your head whenever I look away.
The smile that you give me,
Is forced up from a frown.
No matter what I try for you,
You always seem to be down.
You tell me nothings wrong,
But your face says this won't work.
I can't stand when you lie to me,
It makes me go berserk.
Then always in the end,
While we argue and we shout,
You'll reveal every fear, insecurity and doubt.
And in the end you'll never trust me,
Because of how others brought you down.
You told me you can do better,
And I know I can too now.

Written very well!
I really enjoyed it.
Something I can relate too.
Thank you for sharing. |
