The Walls Are Closing In

The walls are closing in
it’s sometimes how people feel
Feeling like they’re going crazy
because of some sort of ordeal

Not knowing
which way they want to go
Trying so hard
not to let their feelings show

It can be overwhelming
holding in something you want to say
Especially when
the problem just won’t go away

Wanting to blurt out
something, just to help clear your mind
Only you realize the words will hurt
and put you in an even bigger bind

Sometimes we don’t agree
with things that other people do or say
Everyone is different
and does things their own way

Trying to relax
is a very hard thing to do
Especially when
another person keeps nagging you

Control
is a key word but sometimes hard to find
Just turn your cheek
allow yourself to unwind

The feeling of closing walls
will soon go away
Problems will be again resolved
there will always be a brighter day.
