Everything is not just fine
Life is nowhere near perfect
Years do not age like fine wine
Memory fades by pure neglect
Struggles continue as seconds pass
Searches begin a timeless game
Neighbors look for greener grass
Friends battle for the other's fame
Each day arrives clean and free
Nothing in its sketch but white
Colors to fill remain yet unseen
Outline hidden from eye's sight
Blink, the moment will pass
Yawn, the sound quickly fades
Lines blur with each trespass
Promises fail as time degrades
Each given the same endless chance
Each path has yet to be traveled
Trod upon it open or in a trance
You define how time is unraveled
Hope is strong where man is weak
Life is never to be denied
Its story lies in what you seek
When Heaven and earth collide

I love the third stanza myself...well, I love the poem actually. Poetry written by a philosopher. |
