There I sit feeling alone,
When all of a sudden a light was shown.
I smile at the message and continue to talk,
While trying not to get aggravated by hearing a bark.
A knock on the door is soon to follow,
And now it is becoming hard to swallow.
I open then door and all I can do is smile,
I feel my heart running a mile.
I let him in and go to my room,
No longer feeling gloom.
He sits on my bed and I the floor,
As I lean to close the door.
He leans down and cups my face,
Once again my heart starts to race.
He steals the kiss he's been longing for,
But now all I want is more.
I look up into his eyes,
And hope we never say our goodbyes.
He asks "will you be mine?",
I do not whine.
I feel my face go red,
Surely I must be dead.
I pinch myself for good measure,
Now I'll never let go of the treasure.
