Only my emotions
can describe how I feel today
When I learn
a loved one wants to take his life away
The pain and emotion run through me
like a train going off its track
I try to explain to them
once you’re gone, there is no coming back
Listening to this person
explain how they feel
They have an empty heart
a heart that won’t heal
Feeling like everything is their fault
no matter what they do
Feeling so afraid
to share their thoughts with you
The hardest thing in life
to tell them there is a way
To get through the hurt
and live another day

Thank you for sharing so well what it must feel like to comfort one who cannot be comforted.
I don't know if I could have handled it as well, let alone written so beautifully of the anguish.
They were lucky to have you.
