Snow Witch.
In times of Ancient,
From Kingdoms of Old.
When the price of sorrow,
Was a piece of gold.
There reigned supreme,
As water Bearer.
The God and Goddess,
Of Aqua Rivera.
Nature brought blessing,
A beauty so rare.
The birth of a daughter,
With gifts to share.
With power beyond dreams
In grace she grew.
Bringing fountains and streams
Creating life anew.
With a heart full of love,
Arms welcomed a stranger.
Thus sealing her fate,
And concealing the danger.
A dagger of betrayal to be,
Driven through her heart.
Dividing that which Nature,
Never intended to part.
He grew jealous of her power,
And sought to destroy.
Bringing anger and resentment,
To a union of joy.
He knew how to wound her,
took back his heart.
He laughed at her weakness,
Then tore love apart.
And in that cruel moment with,
Grief her heart froze.
And she tore from her kingdom,
The life of each rose.
With anger and sorrow there,
Grew cracks in the glass.
With pain her heart shattered,
And change came to pass.
In the dark days of winter her voice
Chilled the air.
And mother earth smiled at a beauty
So rare.
An eternal lament as each piece is found,
Then shattered again over barren ground.
Trail upon trail of most glistening white,
Searching for pieces by day and by night.

Hi Anna,
The Snow Witch - now there's a lady you don't
want to mess with! I'm assuming this poem
is meant for children 12 and over??
I can feel a nightmare coming on!
Shiveringly worded, Anna.
