Eyes wide open yet cant see in front of me.
Burned by the forked tongue and flames of another.
Reaching out into the darkness for something that isn't there.
Praying to find a friend and a lover..
Like a lost child roaming the woods in the dark.
I cling to the edge of these cold and rigid walls.
Longing to feel the touch of your hands
Anxiously waiting for your voices return call.
Secluded in a deep cave of my misery
Oh how I wish I could close my eyes so I can see.
For it's the only way the light will re emerge.
Because dreams are my only bearable reality.
Each shuffle of the foot takes me closer to the edge
I sense it's presence,no idea how far the fall.
My heart begins to race and then my bones shake
Finally my eyes are shut once and for all.
