Do You Think of Me

Living life segregated from society,
I wonder if you ever think of me.
Are there ever times these days,
With eyes closed I'm who you see?

Cause I think of you every single day,
When I wake up till I finally fall asleep.
Even though you no longer want it,
My heart is still yours to keep.

It's been five days since the last text,
The longest span in our existence.
I know it is what you need me to do,
Let you move on, maintain my distance.

Everyday, teary eyed and trembling hands,
Starring at your name on my phone.
Praying somewhere you are happy now,
While wishing I didn't have to be alone.

Submersing myself deeper into my work,
Hoping this loneliness will go away.
Each passing minute more concerned,
My memory from you continues to fade.

While I have accepted the cold reality,
That what we had is probably through.
I need you to know my best times in life,
Were the times I got to spend with you.

Makes us think of what we once had, but to move on in Spirit, never allowing what we once had as an excuse to take ourselves down Amen
