Obsession's Descent

A drifting dream... hardened by cold reality.
A hopeless song... with notes adrift on the breeze,
For love I would force the hand of beauty to create something incarnate,
and mold the very fabric of seduction during convalescence,
Obsession rides on the wings of fortune's descent,
and I would fly with her until misfortune grips me,
Yet... i think that even were i to fly... my dreams would elude me,
For is that not the way of dreams... to lift your spirits and guide you even further,
to a path yet unknown... and yet... just as appealing.
