The Outside Inn

The outside inn is a place where dreams die.
Its only inhabitants are interlopers of their
own being. Running to, or away is still unclear.
The baggage of the inhabitants never leaves
their side; they just want a place where
acceptance is unconditional.
The inn can be inconvenient, or even
perhaps inappropriate. It has been
known to be a dangerous place, making
the inhabitants do things they never
dreamed of doing. One thing is certain
the inn is a powerful place; it can work
for us or against us.
Everything knows that the inn exists.
When wanted it’s never there, yet
when it is the last fathomable thing
it will always be present. This
conundrum is why dreams die at
the outside inn.
