Someone just stepped across my grave
For my work is beyond my life, and
Each piece of my soul is wrapped as a
Gift sealed with my life blood,and given!
And each tiny vessel that gave life to
Those words has not been severed.
And you wrench at every connection!
You grasp, you smother with your
Verbosity, choke on your own inadequacy.
Trample with the incessant march of ego,
And I am violated.
As purity entrapped in woven prisons my
Soul is released into endless galaxies of
Expression,and yet you think you can
Contain my energy with your desperation!
Then you are too late! For the tides have
Already brought me to these shores and
Washed me onto solid ground and I will
Not be moved.
For as long as I have breath, I will bring
My sacrifice until there is no more that
I can give, not a choice but a breath,
Not a decision but a heartbeat, not a will
But an all consuming force that pulls me
To the line between life and death and
Holds me there suspended.So do you
Really think that your footsteps will
Remain as imprints on my grave? As
For me have I ever told you I love
The rain.

I have read this a few times now. I honestly don't understand it, Anna. However, I really do love the vivid imagery, conviction and determination that it creates.
Even if I don't get it I do at least feel the intensity.
