Music of My Heart

For those that are feeling the pain,
Maybe you're feeling your heart break.
Going through some emotional struggle,
Thinking you've taken all you can take.

When I'm having trouble finding the words,
I usually turn back to the music.
Something with a message and emotion,
To say what I can't without being confusing.

Stop trying to hold everything in,
Just let it out so you can move past.
Why not turn up the radio and listen,
To "Let It Hurt" by Rascal Flats.

If the love you given isn't being returned,
Hear Bon Iver's "I Can't Make You Love Me".
And if you feel like you have failed yourself,
It's Chris Young's "The Man I want To Be"

It could be you're struggling to express,
Your feelings of a relationship that's new.
If so set her down and have her listen,
While Billy Carrington sings "Until You".

We have all made mistakes in our lives,
The kind that seem to push people away.
So if you need to get that message across,
Hear "Never Too Late" by Secondhand Serenade.

Some nights we set around the house alone,
Feeling like we are completely dead inside.
If this is you I know exactly how you feel,
Listening to Keith Urban's "Tonight I Wanna Cry".

It's possible you or the one that you love,
Is in a place that has you held down.
Be patient, understanding and give space,
As you hear "Colder Weather" by Zac Brown.

If you are like me where you keep up the fight,
Everyday I hear Jason Mraz- "I won't Give Up".
Because we fight for what we believe in,
And we refuse to accept enough is enough.

Finally if someone close to you is hurting,
Or you want someone you love to know.
Hold them by the hand and look in their eyes,
As you play Rascal Flats "I Won't Let Go".

Simply flow, that was an awesome write, and you shared
music that can help another, well done
