I'll hold myself a little taller
Just to try to breathe again
I'll smile at my nightmares
And give my enemies a hug
Because we're just humans
Most of us trying to better our own lives
In one way or another
Forgetting the simple fact that
We all are only human
And I hope we all discover respect one day
I tell you this, reader
With no smile on my face
But with warmth in my heart and my words
Humanity is not beautiful
But your soul is
It's never too late to open your eyes
