Ire of Tomorrow

Contributed by dvtpdw on Friday, 16th November 2012 @ 03:51:58 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

The ire of tomorrow lies in the ilk of today
Veils of silver, shades of dark grey
The heart beats its rhythmic solid tone
Life carries true fact in each dry bone

If life is made up of the here and the now
How can we fathom what the future allows?
Sight remains clear to the souls who believe
Love grows within, so open up to receive

Grasp the hand that reaches out to you
Make memory smile in all that you do
Carry the goodness in every uttered vow
Hope, joy, happiness, promise to endow

Are these words that have a true faith
Or do I try to trip you up in life's race?
Am I spilling thoughts of a poet's dream
Or do I make more of this than it seems?

Truth of the matter is that I now choose
To face this world knowing I can't lose
LIfe's glory abounds close to your grasp
Reach bravely for it as it awaits your clasp

My wish for all that come from my history
Live life with gusto, not hide from it meekly
The wonders we can create are unlimited
When we choose to live life fully feasted

Words can speak a limited truth
Sounds that can be so easy to dilute
Feelings, however, much power within
There's no limit, once you choose to begin
