O listen to the silence
So gentle everywhere
Hear it, quiet, whispering
Yet softly through the air
Silence bathes the soul in peace
As calm serenity
Speaking to the heart through love
To soothe and comfort thee
None shall e’er be set alone
Who yet shall heed its call
For, deep within, its murmurs
Enrapture and enthral
It speaks to all so sweetly
Its secrets to disclose
It speaks in verses rhyming
it speaks in simple prose
Silence reigns in solitude
And though not ever heard
Within the mind it lingers –
You’ll know each fleeting word

Hi Val,
Someone somewhere once wrote ..... ''Silence
is more eloquent than words.'' True, perhaps,
unless you are describing Silence itself, as you
have ....... with poignant eloquence.

I sooooooooooo love this. There's sort of a serenity in it.
This is my favorite stanza:
It speaks to all so sweetly
Its secrets to disclose
It speaks in verses rhyming
it speaks in simple prose
Thank you,
Tim |
