Let the people sing

Not wind nor rain nor Europe's best
could silence Glasgow's tuneful blessed,
no prayer nor anthem was suppressed ...
so, let the people sing.
Flags and banners - green and gold.
In song, their past and glory's told
of victories, of exploits bold ...
and fields of Athenry.
Then on that stage of sanguine schemes,
frustration, joy, and pained extremes,
where 60,000 roar their dreams ...
you'll never walk alone.
Result is cast and ne'er undone,
the Truth to every mother's son,
Celtic 2 Barca 1 ...
Hail Hail, the Celts are here!

I can hear those wonderful Scottish tones ringing out from Celtic's number one fan.Wonderful writing and although I am too much of a gunner to join you in singing, in writing I will always be your number one fan x |
