The Rose

Contributed by littlemo911 on Sunday, 11th May 2003 @ 09:05:00 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

One touch will leave a scar
It’s the thorn that pains the heart
It’s clever and cunning
It swoops down without out notice
It blinds the mind with its fragrance

Tears are what make it grow
Each blend of red fills the soul
It grows from torment and grief
It brings joy with its aroma
Yet, it bring sorrow with its touch

I fear one day it will go away
That one day I’ll wake up all alone
With no one to embrace
And with no one to hold
All I fear is an empty space

Each day a petal falls
It loses its colors of fiery passion
That it will one day wither and die
Brings tears down ones eye
What lies beneath this sweet mystery?

This is young love
