I Wonder Why

Contributed by unknown_utopia on Monday, 5th November 2012 @ 11:40:06 AM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

There are so many bridges
that you burned
and still you never learned
because you only
looked one way,
you told me I did not care
and that wasn't fair
now there's no way
for love to stay.
I tried to give you
all of my love
but you
closed your mind to me,
though I am feeling
so low
it is time for me to leave.

still
I wonder why
you didn't have time
to listen to me lady...
and
late at night
I sit and cry
because
my heart is breaking.
And I wonder why
why
why
why you did not listen to me,
you closed your mind
never gave me the time
now
my love lies bleeding.

This is so sad. You touched the heart with this one.

Yep - none so deaf as those who will not hear. Painful but true.

'Heart on the the sleeve poetry' always brings back my own history of rejections, like the one I'm going through right now (Platform Gal - what is wrong with you?)

that's enough about me; nice write.
