Feast of quiet, calm and peace
Of those that from their labors rest;
Feast of souls that found release
From the shackles that oppressed.
Still embraced by humid soil
Rests the perishable clay,
From toil now rests the mortal coil
While bereaved ones weep and pray.
Urns and graves alike divine
Spirit immortal dwells nigh,
Souls that left their earthly shrine
Feel their loved ones mourn and cry.
Seas and caves give up your dead!
Leave the funereal night-
Tombs and crypt and charnel bed
Open up and see the Light!
See He comes with might and smashes,
Crypt and caskets, urns and plot,
Gathering in the scattered ashes,
Rise and see the face of God!

I am not a religious person, but there is a great deal of symbolism which can be gleaned from religious belief which can transcribe beautifully into poetry, and this one I like very much.
Well done.
