Nestled in the pages
Paper cages
A million thoughts live like slaves to the love I feel for her
I'd like to say its all a blur, but it's not
Amidst all the things in life we forget
She is the one I haven't forgot
Shot...
Like a bullet from an empty gun
Under a warm sky with no sun
I lay empty inside her
It used to make me cry
But it no longer does
Who I've become is no longer who I was
Rejection tastes sweet when it rides the waves of my own heartbeat
We become conditioned to the behavior over time
Perhaps this is the cause of my own demise
Vocalized...
Unable to control my own emotions
The anger often explodes from my lips
I dont hate myself for this
Madness exists
Beauty is imperfection in humanity
Chasing angels through the insanity
I sit idle on the sidelines watching time pass her by
While my words fight battles like soldiers...eager to live...fast to die
Slow and steady, this ink of mine bleeds through the walls of these paper prisons
Fighting to paint an accurate vision
But some things cannot be explained...
And all these thoughts...stay slaves restrained to the pain.
