Nothing

Topic: SadPoetry

What is a man when his words are no longer his own,
What is a king that has lost his throne.
What is a man who has lost all he once had,
What is a man when he gets to the point of beyond sad.

Look inside this body and tell me what it is that you see,
Look for the heart that continues to bleed.
Look into the eyes that lost all glare,
Look harder and you'll find all the despair.

Look for the soul that once lived in this body,
You're sure to find nothing.
Look further for the feelings that once lived inside,
Sure to see they have also died.

Shoot me with words to see if I'm numb,
You're sure to see what I have become.
I am nothing, but an empty shell.
Placed in a bottle upon a shelf.

Once a man ,
Now a spec the size of a grain of sand.
Nothing more and nothing less,
Just a shell of emptiness.

Where did I go,
What did I become.
Was I to slow,
Or just to dumb.

Break me open and look inside,
Tell me what did you find.
A shell of emptiness,
A shell of loneliness.

Look inside my mind,
Then take yourself for a twisted ride.
Thoughts no longer clear,
As people no longer wanna be near.

Then a thought becomes reality,
Now wasn't that a sight to see.
Look at me again and tell me what do you see.
Something that once was just became nothing.

They say life is to short,
Yet I think it's to long.
You're right,
And I am wrong.

Should I pray to die,
Should I pray to feel alive,
Should I pray for a desire that burns like a fire inside of me,
Should I pray to continue to bleed.
Should I pray for that one last tear,
Should I pray for a lending ear.

***** it I am nothing,
Nothing I am and nothing I have become.
Once blinded by love,
And a heart as pure as a dove.
But not no more,
For I too am now numb.

I feel
I see
I smell
I taste
I hear
Nothing

I have become nothing,
and nothing I will remain
All until my last breath,
On my dying day.
