Eyes are dulled by the onslaught of chemical warfare needed to
Fight within your body. Haunted is the look that emanates from
A battle weary survivor who has learned the fragility of life.
Tentative in outward appearance, and yet within the Artist is
the optimum medium for creativity, as in the gasp for
Life there is a drive to vibrance that travels, from the mind to
The canvass before me in brush strokes of vivid colours, of
Movement , fields of flowers, bold, a remonstration, a celebration
Such that my eyes cannot help but feel the excitement of
Someone who knows truly what it is to be alive, and yes
Appearance talks of struggle, and yes your eyes betray your
Fear, but oh is the world given a gift, when you bring to the
Canvass
all
That life is to you now, in this present moment, and you
Are given peace.
