The beginning starts
in the fall
The ending falls
in the spring
The signs point
that you must end
the way you began
The synchronicity
The repetitive patterns
The listening in
on your dreams
The speaking to you
in your dreams
It can be a slippery slope
If one is brave enough to climb
The seed is planted
starting so small
so pure
so innocent
Watch it grow
over patient time
Nurturing
Loving
Through death
and rebirth
Using the same words
of your loving friends
Keeping the roots
Alive
The leaves may die
and fall from above
Only to grow
more beauty to
widen your eye
You must end the
way you began

"You must end the way you began." What a powerfully appealing line! Fall will have practically teache the pinnacle by mid-November here in the U.S, and your poem displays seasonal changes perfectly. Not to mention I particularly like that you incorporate the aging process artistically. Keep writing and God bless,
Deidra |

Thats great. I really enjoyed the way it flows, it gave me images of spirals and the imagery of the tree and the natural cycle of life was just spot on for me. It really resonated strongly with me.
Thanks for sharing this :) |
