Shade of the Past

Slowly i slip into darkness,
watching my life as a dream,
grasping at tears in the fabric,
and ripping away at the seams,
Slowly caressing my madness,
rolling into the abyss,
trying to stifle the sadness,
longing for true passion's bliss,
Gripping the weapon of truth,
slaying my hopes and my dreams,
grasping for holds as i'm falling,
balancing on slippery beams,
sinking in sand... you will find me,
not trying to fight back the tide,
No escape from this world that is dying,
i suppose there is no use in trying,
Depression it burns deep inside me,
A cold and harsh world that defines me.

very good write was trying to think of some criticism but got nothing. As someone with depression this seems to be a very good wording of it. |
