Letting go of what’s behind you.
Keep your eyes upon the prize.
Lift your head up toward the hilltops,
Where the helper waits as your guide.
Today you entered a new era.
Never again to be called a teen.
Mature enough to be a princess.
Beautiful enough to become a queen.
Another chapter now has opened.
You’ll walk the pages as it’s star.
No longer a girl but a young woman.
To all who love you, you’ve come far.
If you will trust your able pilot,
Who lights the path for future years.
You’ve learned the wisdom of the ages.
To find contentment instead of lifelong tears.
Press on toward the mark of your high calling.
Let faith, and hope and love clear the path before.
These are the things you can take with you,
When you cross that river leading to the blessed shore.
