I wished it could have been
a little bit longer.
Time left with the wind
now you are gone
and it seems so final
but I know we will see each other again.
The roads are long
and sometimes home seems far off
things never are what they seem
always wish at times it could have been better
but now its all living in sweet dreams.
We take our licks, then we bask in our moments
life, sometimes thats how it goes.
But through it all, you were always shining
a friend to all wherever you would go.
When the sunsets low down in the valley
and the colors splash in the clouds
when the moon is full, dusted with starshine
when the sun rises again, over the sea
I know, I know, its you always near.......
Dedicated to the memory and life of my brother Kelly Clay ..........
