WHERE THE HELL ARE MY RAINBOWS AND BUTTERFLIES???

Contributed by drogedarain on Sunday, 16th September 2012 @ 08:26:39 PM in AEST
Topic: anguished

You know the things that make life worth while…
Mine seem to all disintegrate in the blink of an eye…
One minute things are wonderful like seeing a beautiful
Firework explode and just as fast all fades to smoke and
Plunges in the darkness never to be seen again…
On this now dreadful Monday my ‘BD’s” Eighteenth
Birthday I worked endlessly to make it all so perfect…
Making a video of his life, put off the finishing to add
Photos of his party and just like the firework smoke
Plunging into the darkness of the night all the pictures
Of him and me are not to be found…
All the other pictures are there and it makes no sense to
Me where the ones of me and my “BD” went,,,
Sitting here with tears flowing I can’t get back those moments
Ever…
Memories are nice but pictures tell a story for all to see for many
Years and generations to come…
My heart is broken, my eyes have shattered…
I made him a lovely and tasty pistachio pudding cake from scratch,
Now I long for this time with him to come back…
Me and “BD” you see tend to cut up and make pictures that others find
Rather silly…
But that is us and they were really great…
I had my rainbows and butterflies right then and there and leave it to
A technological glitch to make it all disappear…
Where the hell are my rainbows and butterflies in life that will stick???
Ones immune to life’s bull***** and fake fluff…
As you can read it’s not all about these pictures in the slightest it’s about
All the things that to me seem to be stolen…
Nothing better ever comes my way no matter how much I pray and I wait…
God is good and has proven to me that he does answer prayers even when
We don’t fully believe in our minds, as it comes from the heart…
I just don’t know about life anymore, the closing and opening of so many
A door…
Which one is ever going to hold my hearts desire???
Sometimes I feel I’m missing the big picture that is my intended life and don’t
Know how or where to find it…

. . . but life is about the journey, where you at the end of it. And in it words bring relavance to help us keep our bearing. I like this poem for that.

Beautiful!
The sincerity was so pure.
Simply put, it moved me.

Loved it.
The title grabbed me in the beginning.
Awesome.
