Those nights in the dark.

Topic: DarkPoetry

They say they know the pain of her tears,
have you watched all her cuts and break downs through all the years?

It's a darkness with no light,
a constant burden carried with no thought.
People say in time she will be alright.
What a lie, what a cover up.

The girl you watch daily,
she's covered in scars,
deeply cut wounded scars.
Never heal.
Never fade.
They'll be there for decades more.

The hidden sadness,
the story behind true eyes.
What you don't know late a night she lies awake and cries.
No one who understands her,
or is it only in her head.

Depression with her everyday,
eats away the positive in her life.
What's left of the girl that was so pure.

She gave up on the fight,
a fight into seeing that bright light.
Beaten herself till black and blue.
Yet no one around her even has a slight clue.

The smile she shows,
no one can even tell,
tell that's it's fake,
tell it was all made from not such simple hate.
The darkness surrounds,
no help yet found.
She is lost.
No guidance to show the path.

Who really knows how to defeat the depression.
We all carry it with us.
Some more then others.
She gave up on hope, gave up on love.
What's to love when you can't love yourself.
She hides in the dark waiting for it to pass.
Hoping this time it just doesn't last.
For once please just let it pass.

It doesn't, darkness becomes black,
cold and empty.
It's worse then before,
no air she can't breathe,
one more gasp for air just please?

Cold.
Dead.
Left to decay.
No one paid attention to her.
She was never loved.
The only thing she had was depression and the dark.
The girl, yes she was alone.

Everyone is at some point in their life.
Reach out and help,
make someone feel some love,
show them the path to the light.
Be bright, take them to new heights.

This is a very good and lenghty poem, I love poems like that. I love dark poetry in general. I'm surprised no one commented on it.
